Run once with warm-up = 0 to hear normal behavior, then again with warm-up = 4–5s. Listen from the exact moment it unmutes — if that's clean and consistent, the warm-up trick works and is worth building into a real call flow (Twilio pre-roll). If it's still rough right after unmute, the cause isn't cold-start timing.
